The ORCF’s purpose is to maintain and preserve The Original Old Rugged Cross Church and Museum, and to offer a Christian ministry through programs of music and various opportunities for worshiping God.

The ORCF board members organize events to raise the funds for maintaining and preserving the history of the ORC Church and Museum. We are now in our twenty-second year of the project.

In addition to conducting tours of the historic site, we make presentations to churches, civic organizations and any group who has an interest in learning more about the project.

Hundreds of people have served as volunteers on the numerous fund-raising projects the board has organized. Thousands more, from across the country and from countries around the world, have made donations, making the restoration become a reality. It is truly an ecumenical effort being accomplished by a huge assortment of God’s people.

The hymn sings and concerts held at the church are open to the public and attract people from all denominations and many who have no church affiliation. It serves as a melting pot for all of God’s people.
